This comes as the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Abayomi Olonishakin, has said that swapping the detained Boko Haram members with the Chibok girls would only be possible by a political decision.
He has also denied claims made by Ambassador Ahmed Bolori that he was asked to go home after voluntarily turning himself in haven been declared wanted by the Nigerian Army
Boko Haram in a new video released at the weekend demanded for the release of its members in exchange for some of the abducted Chibok school girls.
The terror group had also threatened to attack Lagos, Abuja and Borno State.
Seaking with State House correspondents after the security meeting that had neither President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in attendance, Olonishakin stressed that theirs was to maintain military operations while political decisions are left for the politicians.
Responding to demand for the ransom of Chibok girls with Boko Haram detainees, the CDs said: “That is a political decision to be taken. The military decision is that we are going ahead with our operations. The operation is being conducted appropriately.”
