know if Tompolo is dead or alive

Brigadier-General
Rabe Abubakar, director of information, Defense Headquarters has
debunked claims that the Nigerian army was against communities in the
Niger Delta region.
He said such insinuations
were coming from those are not happy with their presence in the region
because they feel it will obstruct their illegal operations, Daily Post
reports.
“We are here to provide, maintain security and create the enabling environment in line with the constitution which is our mandate,” he said.
Abubakar said he had no knowledge of
whether ex-militant leader, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo,
Alias Tompolo is dead or alive.
“I
don’t know if Tompolo is dead or alive but all I know is that the Armed
Forces and other security agencies are ready to mitigate the various
security challenges in the Niger Delta Region,” he said.
The defence spokesman promised that the armed forces will continue to provide and maintain security in the area.
He urged the media practitioners and other
stakeholders in the Niger Delta region to work with the armed forces to
move the nation forward.
Two days ago, the Defence Headquarters declared that the terrorist group Boko Haram, is gone
forever, having been wiped out from the Sambisa forest and operations
were on by the military to rescue the remaining Chibok girls.
